The Addiction Recovery Process

THE ADDICTION RECOVERY PROCESS - DETOXIFICATION

Should detox be needed prior to treatment, be it for heroin, alcohol, prescription drugs, or any other addictive substance, Alternatives will coordinate, as part of the addiction recovery process, the patient's admission to one of several detox facilities and hospitals all of whom work closely with our center, sharing our belief in high quality ethical service, with utmost consideration for the needs of the individual. While the patient is in detox, Alternatives staff will carefully monitor the patient's progress during the addiction recovery process and will combine efforts to facilitate a seamless transition into our rehabilitation facility upon discharge.

ADDICTION RECOVERY PROCESS & PROGRAMS

Our clinically designed addiction recovery programs provide a variety of choices to best treat the person seeking help. Drug and alcohol treatment plans are individually designed to address the needs of each person's recovery needs.

Whether you are admitted for chemical dependence - alcohol, crack, cocaine, heroin, hallucinogens or prescription drug abuse, a mood disorder or one of the many other diagnoses associated with addiction, you will have access to these recovery programs during the addiction recovery process:

  • Short-term Primary Treatment
  • Partial Hospitalization
  • Extended Care
  • Intensive Outpatient Program
  • Day and Evening Programs
  • Relapse Program
  • Family Program

The level of care and length of stay are determined by the needs of the patient. Our psychiatric and psychological consultants are closely involved throughout the addiction recovery process in the drug addiction/alcohol treatment prescription. This individualized treatment planning has been shown to improve treatment outcomes.

IMPAIRED PROFESSIONALS

In addition to being available to the general public, Alternatives also addresses the needs of impaired professionals-physicians, nurses, attorneys, pilots and other licenses subgroups, many of whom have been helped to reverse the cycle of addiction in their lives in a setting of caring confidentiality, to return, in quality recovery, to their respective professions. Alternatives works closely with many organizations such as:

  • UAW
  • Physicians' Recovery Network (PRN)
  • Intervention Program for Nurses (IPN)
  • Florida Bar

Alternatives cooperates fully with all professional and legal requirements and is regulated by Federal Confidentiality Guidelines.
